Biante Model Cars are very pleased to present the 1:18 Scale Holden Special Vehicles E3 25th Anniversary GTS in Heron White.
Any Australian motoring enthusiast would be familiar with the HSV nameplate. Established in 1987, the official performance arm of Holden have been producing wild, spine tingling variants of Holden road cars for almost 30 years now. Perhaps one of the most recognisable HSV names to have ever been produced is the GTS. It is the full size performance sedan option in the range that in most cases was about as good as you could get when it comes to owning a HSV.
The E Series HSV range was introduced by HSV in 2006 after the launch of the new Holden VE Commodore range. It was a very popular suite of HSV’s which worked well in part due to the success and longevity of the road car range and the VE V8 Supercar program which eventually became the most successful model Commodore to race in the history of the series. The E3 was the last version of the E Series range and was released in 2010.
In 2012, HSV announced a very special edition of the E3 GTS to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the HSV range. It featured special lightweight, 20-inch forged-alloy wheels (which saved an incredible 22 kg’s over the standard wheels), “Vector” bonnet scoops and side vents, larger six-piston brakes with a 50 per cent increase in pad area, unique seat embroidery, exterior badging, sill plates, and an EDI start-up screen.
It was limited to only 125 units and retailed at $84,990 which was only $2,000 over the standard GTS price tag. A very attractive price considering all the upgrades!
