AUTOart are thrilled to present the 1:18 Scale Chrysler Valiant Charger Street Machine in White with Devil Red interior. This is a new addition to their customised model range and the first non-Ford street machine that we have produced.
The Charger is one of those iconic cars etched into Australian motoring folklore. In its heyday it stood toe-to-toe with other iconic nameplates such as the Ford GTHO and the Holden Monaro and many punters would argue that the Charger easily held its own in a period where Australia had some of the finest muscle cars available on the planet. The Charger, like many of the aforementioned muscle cars, was impressive off the production line and didn’t require any aftermarket modifications or upgrades to enhance its style - it was already timeless.
For the latest addition to our custom street machine range we have taken more of a minimalist approach compared to what we have released previously. For those of you familiar with our past releases, the one thing you would have noticed that we haven’t included with the Charger model is the gigantic engine and blower protruding up through the bonnet. We did this simply because it isn’t the Charger’s style, instead we have added numerous custom modifications to give this addition plenty of street ‘cred without being too over the top.
Some of the more notable and easily seen modifications include the larger diameter chrome wheels on low profile tyres and the lower ride height. The exterior has been modified to feature no badges or decals other than the HEMI sticker in the middle of the bonnet and the HEMI 6 number plates to give you an idea of what lurks underneath the hood. One of the finest additions however is the custom Devil Red interior which looks super impressive against the white and black exterior of the car.
Other additions that we’re including in the production model (some of which can’t be seen on this prototype) include the addition of a quick shifter and tacho in the interior and significant engine bay modifications including extra chrome highlights, hidden battery, red wiring and horns which will contrast nicely together and give the engine bay that ‘show car’ feel. This highly detailed, custom model will definitely look the goods either on its own or when it’s displayed with our previously released street machine models in any collection so place your orders to ensure you don’t miss out.
